On April 30th, 2025, the Honorable Minister for Health, Jenista Mhagama, paid an official visit to St. Francis Regional Referral Hospital in Ifakara. The visit marked the official launch of specialist medical services, aimed at improving access to high-quality healthcare in the region.

Hon. Mhagama, alongside His Lordship Bishop Salutaris Melchior Libena of the Catholic Diocese of Ifakara and hospital owner, officially inaugurated:

  • ENT (Ear, Nose & Throat) Specialist Services.

The Minister held a session with doctors, nurses, and support staff where she encouraged them to maintain professional ethics, dedication, and compassion in service delivery.
